During 3rd to 5th September 2024, an international exhibition was held in Malaysia’s famous Petronas Twin Towers, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. “11th International Rubber Glove Conference and Exhibition”, also known as 11th IRGCE 2024. It was hosted by MARGMA (Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association). This exhibition gathers all professionals in medical care, oral dental, food handling, laboratories, chemical handling and many other industries. - Muhammad Eizaaz bin Muhammad Redzuan, the chief executive officer of the Malaysia Rubber Council. His topic is about branding & marketing of medical gloves for the sustainability of the glove industry in Malaysia.
- Dato’ Dr. Zairossani M. Nor, the Director-General of the Malaysian Rubber Board. He talked about the effective and sustainable rubber supply in Malaysia. This topic aligned with TAKO packaging solutions that show TAKO continuing on environment friendly materials packaging.
- Ulrich Antoni, Managing Director at Agridence Rubber Pte Ltd, brought up the EUDR – Impact and on-the-ground implementation relevant to the natural rubber industry. He discussed EUDR or European Union Deforestation Regulation and its consequences on the Rubber Industry.
- Prof. Dr. Jitladda Sakdapipanich from Mahidol University in Thailand updated about advances in abating latex protein allergy of natural rubber gloves by strategic combination of purification process, fine-tuning of compounding and Impact assessment. This topic represents a significant step forward for the industry.
- Dr. Banja Junhasavasdikul, Chairman of Innovation Group Thailand, presented “From Tree to Products: Innovations in total value chain”. His topic reminds industries that the details make the difference, every single step in manufacturing is important.
