Preserve Today, Secure Tomorrow - The Fully Recyclable Tyvek® Pouch
Fully Recyclable Tyvek® Pouch
TAKO’s fully recyclable Tyvek Pouch comprises uncoated Tyvek as the top web, heat-sealed to a peelable mono-material laminated polyethylene film or easy-peel thermoforming film, achieving >90% recyclability under the polyethylene stream.
Description
In response to the recyclability challenges of peelable PET/PE in the polyethylene stream, we offer an eco-friendly alternative. Our solution includes a peelable mono-material laminated polyethylene film for lightweight medical products and a peelable thermoforming film for complex and bulky devices. These films cater to a wide range of applications, from shallow to deep draw, exhibiting low back shrink properties. Our easy-peel polyethylene sealant layer ensures broad sealing parameters and a low initiation temperature, delivering a clean peel without fiber tear and excellent seal strength when sealed to Uncoated Tyvek. These materials provide the same functionality and safety as traditional options while minimizing packaging and product waste.
In addition to meeting ETO sterilization and gamma irradiation requirements, the solution achieves outstanding recyclability, surpassing 90% levels under the polyethylene stream. This positions both material combinations as easy to recycle and highly sustainable alternatives compared to standard packaging options in the market.
